Arthritis Foundation – Ease-of-use Commendation
The Arthritis Foundation’s Ease-of-Use Commendation recognizes products proven to make life easier for people who have arthritis and other physical limitations. Independently tested by experts and evaluated by people with arthritis, Ease-of-Use products are easy to use by everyone – Arthritis Foundation
Research carried out in the US by the Georgia Tech Research Institute concluded that Premier Care walk-in baths and easy-access showers are easier to use and more accessible for people with arthritis.
Making Life Easier with Premier Care
The Arthritis Foundation’s Ease-of-Use Commendation is designed to encourage manufacturers to develop user-friendly products that benefit arthritis sufferers throughout the world.
To achieve this prestigious commendation, products go through a rigorous testing process to determine if they are easy to use by someone with arthritis. Each Premier Care in Bathing product tested was evaluated against a number of ‘pass’ or ‘fail’ requirements based around its main features.
Having passed each item on the checklist of usability features, each product was then assessed and evaluated by a team of 8 testers with varying forms of arthritis. Testers were required to evaluate the functionality of all aspects of the products, before being interviewed by the team of scientists and providing their personal commendation of the products.
The Premier Care in Bathing walk-in baths and easy-access showers not only achieved all of the required ‘passes’ from the usability checklist but were also commended for their ease of use by arthritis sufferers.
At Premier Care in Bathing, we strive to provide the best possible bathing experience and we are proud to help the UK’s community of arthritis sufferers through our thoughtfully designed products.
