If psychological crime is your thing, Luther is a great television show to invest into. The series follows a detective, acted by Idris Elba, in his investigations into dark crimes, such as murder. It is intense, gripping and downright obsessive as we watch DCI John Luther become consumed by the crimes he is trying to solve. The first four seasons are on Netflix, and earlier this year (June 2017), it was announced that a fifth season will start filming in 2018.
#3 Grace and Frankie

First broadcast on BBC Two during the 1970s, this classic British sitcom is set in a fictional hotel called Fawlty Towers. During each episode, we see the rude owner, his bossy wife, the receptionist and Spanish waiter attempt to smoothly and successfully run their seaside town hotel. As you can expect, the challenges that they face with their eccentric and demanding guests provide huge comical value for the audience. Both seasons are available on Netflix UK at the moment, so if you’re looking for an easy watch after a busy day, Fawlty Towers will have you in stitches from beginning to end.
#5 Call the Midwife

Call the Midwife was originally based on the memoirs of Jennifer Worth who worked with an Anglican religious order at a convent in East London. This period drama series follows a group of midwives working in the East End during the 1950s and the 1960s. As well as other community duties, the sisters and midwives focus their work on bringing safe childbirth to women in Poplar during this time.
